This is the road linking the capital of Navarre High (Pamplona / Iruña) with its counterpart in Lower Navarre (San Juan de Pied de Port). It is the road of a thousand ways, stones, echoes and looks.

Fairs and Festivals:
In Valcarlos Easter Sunday celebrates the traditional dances of the ‘Flyers. In May-June are celebrated pilgrimages to the Virgin of Roncesvalles in the surrounding villages and valleys. In Burguete are known bonfires of San Juan and Crafts Fair and earned the 15 August. Valley Days are lively and crowded, Esteribar are concluded in late June, Sorogain errors in the 3rd Sunday in July. During the summer there are local baseball championships, the classic example is the Bost-Kirol of Mezkiriz.
